EdS in Education

You're ready to transition from teaching your kids a little bit about everything to teaching them a whole lot about one thing. Here, we can help you learn the skills you need to be the specialized teacher you want to be.

To do that, we'll build on your knowledge as an educator as we focus on your specific concentration. Not only will you learn methodology, but you'll have the opportunity to design research and apply it in relevant situations. Your classes will also include Teacher Leadership; Critical Social Issues in American Education and Culture; and American Education: Race, Class, and Gender. Finally, by the time you graduate, you will have had valuable hands-on experiences, including internships, field studies, and practicums, which can be critical to demonstrating the knowledge you’ve learned. You'll complete internships, field studies, practicums, and more to have every chance to show what kind of expert you've become.
